Application-Context

The Mediascape Project publishes the next implementation of an API. This time it's the first implementation of the application context and the underlying agent context together with other libraries like the shared state, which provide the communication layer for the application context.

The agent context provides information about the current agent that it is running, and the application context represents an execution of a multi-device application, contributed by the participating agents. It can be shared between multiple devices of a single user or multiple users.

API Description

Application-context API

Overview

MediaScape targets applications that provide shared experiences across multiple devices. This library shows two aspects of the context used in MediaScape:

  • Agent context: provides information about the current agent, its capabilities and provides events (as well as sensor management).
  • Application context: represents an execution of a multidevice application, contributed by the participating agents. It can be shared between multiple devices of a single user or multiple users, whatever is suitable for the application.
